Ive ran both on my stamdk for a year and it works well but you will need to build into it and go lower dmg with reduced costs for bgs. He spams abilities all the time and doesn't run out of sustain,despite having so low max stamina and stam regen and I think that might be the best way of getting the most out of red mountain. I think one disadvantage of the proc setups are the absolute garbage sustain, which is not even a problem anymore because of jewelrycrafting.ДЇengrush in his last build uses 3 infused cost reduction glyphs and that is not a coincidence, its a very smart choice to get the maximum use out of red mountain. Yeah, skoria-red mountain is an especially dangerous combo because so often you dodge roll into a skoria proc followed by a steel nado, and that with a few dot ticks will seal your fate most of the time. And if you have Skoria on, some will try to rolldodge that too as they seem to mix the sounds/visuals up. People not ready to rolldodge all the time will lose a lot of stamina.

I think instead of comparing red mountain with the way of fire, people should compare it to poisonous serpent, Which is a much better set imho and Its fantastic on a stamina Dk.Д«est thing about Red Mountain imo, is honestly that people will instinctively 'Hahaaaa! I dodge your silly volcano, noob!'. That being said Its suprising how often people choose viper over red mountain, I think RM is a lot more bursty and viper as a front bar set makes no sense when you can have master dual wield instead.(I'm comparing those especially because I see so many people running dual wield viper) No-CP was always a proc infested hell but honestly red mountain is in a much healthier spot compared to something like skoria or zaan. The damage is really low though (on Way of Fire), so anything like even Viper would be better. It's completely broken and procs from literally everything. Much higher damage and that matters even if it procs a lot less. If you're gonna use weapon abilities a lot, then red mountain.
